DEFINITIONS OF VIOLENCE

Physical violence

Physical violence is when force is used against another person, regardless of whether physical harm results from that force or not. That is, the violence is violence even if it is not painful and does not leave a mark or bruise. Physical violence is also when a person’s physical needs are withheld or when a person is denied the physical services they need.
